If you’re new to the state of Florida, there are a few things that you should know before you settle down here. There’s plenty to do, great weather, and an even better housing market. If you love sun and fun, you’re probably in the right place. Just to be sure, you probably want to read on and learn a bit more about what it’s like to live in Florida.

The Weather Sometimes Cannot Make Up Its Mind

Sure, Florida is known as the “Sunshine State,” but we have so much more than sun. Be prepared for rain, thunderstorms, and a wee bit of humidity. We’re not saying any of this is a bad thing. It’s nice to have a bit of a mix. The biggest plus about our weather is that you’ll never need a snow shovel!

If You Didn’t Like The Beach, You Do Now!

While not all parts of Florida are beach towns, it’s fairly easy to access the ocean from most parts of the state. You’ll start to love the beach, the marine life, and all of the water activities that go along with beach life. Whatever activity you decide that you want to do, you can find some outlet for it. There’s fishing, boating, scuba diving, swimming, and more. If you’ve always wanted to try one of these activities but still haven’t, now is a great time to do it as a Florida Resident!

You Can Live Like A Tourist All Year Long

While tourists come and go out of the state, you’ll be living the dream! You can get resident discounts to theme parks, hang out on some of the most beautiful beaches, and relax whenever you feel like it. Whether you’re in Orlando, Miami, or St Augustine, there’s always something interesting to do. There are also a number of fun festivals and conventions that can add fun and excitement to your life. Remember that people come from all over the world to see the things that are now right in your own backyard! Who says you have to grow up? When you live in Florida, life just gets more interesting!

Florida Is A Melting Pot

Since Florida is a melting pot for people from all over the US and the world, it truly has a lot to offer. From many different kinds of cuisines to fun activities everywhere to a laid-back lifestyle, it’s a great place to live. Why do you think so many people decide to retire here? Florida offers an eclectic mix whether you want to be a snowbird, or live here the whole year through.
